Small, hosted local activities where identity-verified singles seeking committed relationships can meet without swiping.
Added Aug 15, 2026
People looking for serious relationships report that dating apps feel rushed, transactional, and unreliable. Low response rates, mismatched intentions, scams, and uncertainty about whether profiles are authentic make it difficult to reach the in-person conversation where compatibility can actually be assessed.
Operate small singles events built around activities such as pottery, hiking, or book discussions, with identity checks and an explicit commitment-oriented participation policy. Screen attendees for relationship intent, balance each cohort, host the activity in a public venue, and privately collect mutual-interest selections afterward. Begin as a locally delivered events service rather than building another dating app.
AI-assisted messaging and persistent scam concerns make online identities and conversations less trustworthy. At the same time, dissatisfaction with swipe-based dating creates room for structured, low-pressure ways to meet face to face.

This is so true for many men. Unless your appeal lies primarily in your looks, it’s really hard to show off your desirable traits on an app. I won’t get any matches online but be approached several times while out dancing at the club.
If a genie came out of a bottle and offered me my ideal woman, then yes I have a type. In the real world I'm approaching all different kinds of women: black, white, Asian, mixed like me whatever...for me it's just about her overall look or personality that wins me over. Dating apps, those a barren wasteland for me. I've never felt so undesirable in my entire life while using those things. I'd occasionally get likes but it was always from extremely overweight/unattractive women and I say that respectfully. The likes I send out never result in a match either, even if I had everything she wanted in her profile, they just never found me attractive back. Even tried paying premium servies and sending out super likes/roses and that never helped either. I'm not avoident and rejecting women off petty things. I literally can't even get a foot in the door and go on a date. I simply get almost zero interest here and idk why.
I look like I could beat up Patrick Swayze in Road House if you put the two of us side by side, I got zero matches until I set my height to over six foot and then I was getting like ten a week. Online dating is for shallow women and men that hate themselves imo. Waste of time if you're looking for a good person with how these apps are currently algorithmed.
Search interest for singles events has a recent median of 55.5, a prior baseline of 53.0, and a momentum score of 0.51.
It sounds distasteful to say, but you aren't as attractive as you think you are based on description. A very attractive woman that is 24 y/o doesn't have issues matching with attractive dudes on apps. The issues are others, guys wanting just sex, low effort, etc. Similar with approaches issue. Women and pronounced even more at attractive women generally have to filter personality, intentions & compatability. They don't have an issue of options or surface level interest.
