The Problem

Readers in prolonged slumps repeatedly sample books without finishing them and find generic bestseller lists too broad or familiar. They want one compelling choice matched to their tastes, current attention level, and preferred emotional intensity, especially when decision fatigue or difficult life circumstances have disrupted the habit.

Potential Solution

Sell a one-time reading reset package built around a short intake and a human curator's selection of one accessible, lesser-known book. Deliver the book with a low-pressure reading plan, optional chapter prompts, and brief text or email check-ins. Begin as a manually fulfilled concierge service before introducing standardized reader profiles and publisher or bookseller partnerships.

Why Now?

The signals show repeated, recent requests from experienced readers who cannot solve the problem through ordinary recommendation channels. Book fulfillment and lightweight remote check-ins make the offer testable without developing software or holding substantial inventory.

i haven't finished a book in 3 months and this is NOT normal for me. reading is a huge part of my identity but i've been smacked with depression recently and just haven't been able to read anything. i've picked up about a million different books and nothing is working. i need something to break this slump. please give me recs for books that are impossible to put down, books you stayed up until 3 am to finish, books that had you hooked from start to finish, etc. i have no genre preferences at this point, i just want to feel like a reader again lol. soo, if you could give me ONE book to cure a severe 3 month reading slump, what would it be?

whenever I’m in a reading slump, i need a good thriller/mystery recommendation or a really good rom-com to get me out of it.
