A flexible workout tracker for athletes who combine lifting, calisthenics, intervals, mobility, and GPS work in one training log.

Hybrid athletes and serious recreational lifters often train across incompatible formats: sets and reps, bodyweight movements, timed intervals, mobility work, jumps, sprints, and distance sessions. Existing workout apps tend to force users into rigid gym templates, while general notes apps lose structure and make progress hard to analyze. The repeated pain is not motivation or education, but capturing messy real-world training quickly and turning it into usable progression data.
Build a mobile-first workout logger with flexible exercise schemas, letting users record load, reps, RPE, time, distance, range of motion, bodyweight assistance, or custom metrics in any combination. The first product surface should be a fast session log with reusable templates, superset support, offline mode, and simple trend charts for e1RM, volume, adherence, and performance metrics. Later versions can sync HealthKit, Google Fit, Strava, or Garmin data and add correlation insights across recovery, habits, and training performance.
Hybrid training, CrossFit-style workouts, and mixed strength-endurance programming are increasingly common, but most tracking tools still reflect single-mode gym routines. AI-assisted development has also lowered the cost for solo builders to ship polished niche fitness tools quickly.

Review of FitNotes - Gym Workout Log A rare gem of an app. I’ve used this consistently for a full decade now. If you want a straightforward logging without annoying ads, subscription pop-ups, or complicated drama, this is the one. It just works, every single time. Simple and best!
Review of Nike Training Club For beginners and experts alike This is one of the best free apps (if not the very best) to get into training of all sorts for every level. The videos help show each exercise and they’re always alternatives to ease up or to increase the difficulty. The variety of workouts span anything for runners all the way to yoga and to folks who just want to focus mobility or strength or endurance or a combination thereof. Really high-quality programs and workouts.
Review of Caliber Strength Training Very useful app for tracking workouts over time. Pretty extensive exercise library- it usually has what I'm looking for. The videos are helpful too for trying new things and I think the free version has a good amount of features. However, the interface could be better. I only use this to track custom workouts and getting to my saved custom workouts takes more steps than necessary and it was really complicated figuring out how to name them. I still recommend i
Review of LADDER Strength Training Plans Best workout app I don’t usually leave reviews but I think this deserves a review! This is by far the best workout app I have ever tried! I can workout literally anywhere outside of the gym! It’s beginner friendly to advanced pro! I recommend it to anyone in search of a good workout app, especially if you’re just beginning!
Review of Stronglifts 5x5 Workout Plan Great but could be better I’ve been using this app for years and love it. I am not aware of any way to make suggestions to features of the app which I think would be wonderful. For example I would suggest the option to mark multiple workouts as “super sets”. I would also appreciate the ability to mark single leg/arm sets as left and right leg/arm. Other than that I’ve had no issues with the app.
