The Problem

Small Amazon sellers often manage SKU profitability, PPC performance, keyword ranking, listing quality, reviews, price, fees, freight, and conversion rate in disconnected spreadsheets. The signals show a repeated workflow: review product metrics every week, compare them against expected ranges, identify the metric causing underperformance, and decide whether to change price, listing content, bids, keywords, or reviews strategy. This is tedious, error-prone, and especially painful for low-price products where ad waste quickly destroys margin.

Potential Solution

Build a SaaS tool that imports Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Ads data, then creates a weekly SKU-level profit leak report. The first version can calculate contribution margin, ACOS thresholds, conversion rate changes, keyword waste, review gaps, and price competitiveness, then recommend concrete actions such as raise bid, lower price, negative-match a keyword, update listing fields, or investigate FBA fees. The product surface is a SKU dashboard with alerts, drilldowns, and a recurring weekly email summary.

Why Now?

Amazon ads are now central to organic ranking and seller profitability, while many smaller sellers still rely on spreadsheets and fragmented reports. Rising ad costs make weekly profit-leak detection more urgent for low-AOV and private-label sellers.

Review of Bloom Profit Analytics
Bloom Profit Analytics · Shopify App StoreAug 3, 2026

Really liking this app so far. There were some formula changes I wanted to make to align with our internal KPI metrics, the support team accommodated those changes without any issues and quickly. Our sales team will be using this app to track daily contribution margins to ensure we're remaining profitable after ad spend. Worth giving it a try.

Cost- esp ad spend doesnt sync. And rarely if it does, takes hours. Easier to vibe code your own P&L app.

No bad , no good .

Review of sellerboard Profit Analytics No bad , no good . I really wanted to like Sellerboard because the idea is good, and it’s simpler than many other tools. However, after using it, I don’t think it’s worth the monthly subscription. The desktop app is frustrating. Almost every day it asks me to update, and after the update it often won’t accept my password, even though I used the same password the day before. This happens too often and wastes my time. The software also feels very limited. T

Review of DS Amazon Quick View

"Ds Amazon Quick View offers basic product visibility, but its limited data extraction, unreliable BSR tracking, and lack of cloud sync make it feel outdated—upgrade to Amazon Quick View Pro (shorturl.at/.../bgKeW) for accurate profit calculations, real-time BSR across 22+ marketplaces, seamless cloud backup, and advanced seller insights that actually help you make informed buying decisions."

Stop Ignoring Your Amazon Business Reports
r/AgencyGrowthHacksJun 30, 2026

Many sellers check revenue every day but rarely explore Business Reports. Those reports reveal: * Which products attract traffic * Which listings fail to convert * Where customers leave * Which ASINs deserve more advertising The numbers often tell a story your sales dashboard doesn't.
